Being brutally honest there is a lot of rubbish written about how to use a lead clip properly. The essence of the system is that it will allow a snagged lead to pull off the rig, thus releasing the fish from the unseen snag or weed bed so you land it rather than lose it. If you were attached to a really big carp, would you forfeit the lead to guarantee you landed the carp? We know we would, it's a small price to pay.All Korda packaging is filled to overflowing with information on how to use the products effectively, this booklet expands and reinforces that information. The basic rule of the lead clip system is the lead must eject before the swivel pulls out. This is because if the swivel comes out first the lead will never eject, instead the line will pull back and forth through the system like a running rig leaving the lead snagged and the fish, too! Danny does nothing without good reason - his first experience of this baiting tool came at Shimano Linear fisheries in Oxford - Danny quotes 'I was amazed how light it was and was more amazed that I could actually use it effectively. Prior to using this design I simply could not use a throwing stick of any description'. The Easy-Stick was born. Credit for the design has to go to long-range guru Frank Warwick, who now acts in an advisory roll to Korda. His knowledge of carping and his distinct northern styles are an invaluable asset to Korda. Why Easy-Stick is the best on the market:- Made from ultra light polycarbonate plastic Advantages Using this material makes the Easy-Stick incredibly light - This makes baiting effortless - It greatly reduces fatigue on your arm which is a major bonus because most sticks kill your arm. Take care though - accidentally hitting the ground on the follow through can damage this stick. Keep it out of direct sunlight in the heat of summer as prolonged exposure to temperatures of 25ºC + can warp the shape. Thankfully this only applies to about four days of an English summer. Unique J shape Advantage The 'bend in the end' of the Easy-Stick is essential to its performance - This long J shaped bend increases back spin on the boilie - The back spin 'lifts' the boilie in flight greatly increasing distance. This was necessary in order to ensure the clips performed at peak performance in terms of both fish safety and rig efficiency; an objective we feel we have achieved in full!The Hybrid lead clip design features an integrally moulded Ring Swivel ensuring that the swivel simply cannot pull free from its housing. This forces lead ejection in the event of it becoming jammed ensuring that carp can be landed easily in weedy, snaggy conditions. The streamlined one piece design means there are no fiddly locking pegs or hinges to worry about - just connect the leader to one end and the rig to the other! Pack of 5 Korda Hybrid Running Rigs are a cross breed of the best parts of modern running rigs. The large eye of the special swivel creates very little friction greatly enhancing bite indication, the small lead link and silicone sleeve combine to form a very neat, tangle free system. Can be left on your rods minus the lead in between sessions.Running rigs offer better indication of what is happening at the rig end. When fish are picking up the rig and getting away with it, running rigs will show this more accurately. Using low-stretch monos like X-line or zero-stretch braids like Whiplash enhance the indication. This way you can shorten the hook link or make the hook bigger to turn pick-ups into runs. A running rig also acts totally differently to a semi-fixed set-up when the carp picks up the bait because the lead will always run away from the fish.
